Steph Curry sends warning to rest of NBA ahead of 2023-24 season
Steph Curry seems to have been reawakened by last year’s crushing loss to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
This week, Gilbert Arenas welcomed Golden State Warriors superstar Curry to his show, “Gil’s Arena.” Curry was quizzed during the program on the upcoming NBA season, and he sounded a note of caution to his fellow players.
Again,” Curry remarked, “we’re in that season.” We are the predators, not the prey… This is the year to break out.

Despite being four-time NBA champions, Curry and the Warriors still need to approach the upcoming season with an аggressive mentality like that. Now 35 years old, Curry’s longtime teammates Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are not far behind. However, the Warriors have made it a top priority to win right now after basically trading 24-year-old Jordan Poole for 38-year-old Chris Paul this summer.
Green (who re-upped with the Warriors in July) and Curry both have contracts that guarantee them at least three more years with the Warriors. Keeping a core of highly compensated players together for a lengthy period of time would be absurdly expensive under the new NBA collective bargaining agreement, but Thompson is entering the final year of his contract.
The Warriors, then, are racing against the clock. But it sounds like Curry is ready for the challenge, since he is still physically at his prime.
