Pep Guardiola’s Amusing Encounter: Manchester City Manager Teases Traffic Warden with a Parking Charge, Jokingly Demands Payment for a Photo

When Pep Guardiola received a parking penalty for leaving his car on a double yellow line on Monday, he had a humorous interaction with the traffic warden.

On Saturday night, the Spaniard, whose Manchester City team narrowly defeated Newcastle United to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season, took a hit off the field after he was seen and heard obtaining a parking ticket in Manchester.

A traffic warden issued Guardiola a ticket and then requested a picture of him as he made his way back to his car.

The Man City manager responded in jest, as shown on TikTok, “You want a picture? You must pay for the image!

The humorous incident happened after Guardiola was seen making jokes with a Man City supporter during their game against Newcastle.

The Catalan said that perhaps the fan ought to sit in the dugout and try it himself after the fan pleaded for a substitution late in the game.

Guardiola praised his team for their tenacity in his postgame remarks after having the players perform a lap of honor at the Etihad Stadium.

A jubilant Guardiola exclaimed, “This game was proof of why we have won a lot.” He then motioned for his team to celebrate their victory in front of the crowd.

“The players’ mindset and mentality never cease to astound me.” They performed admirably given the circumstances of our arrival, including our injuries and lack of rest. The level of dedication was astounding.

Guardiola’s expectations are higher than ever after winning the Triple Crown last season, but he is aware that it will be nearly hard to duplicate the achievement.

Despite his concerns about parking tickets off the field, he will be hopeful that things go smoothly on the field.
