Should Ten Hag get rid of Antony by this name?

After two terrible performances this season, Antony has to be benched. Facundo Pellistri is the replacement we think should get a shot.

At Manchester United, Antony is becoming into a pretty frustrating player. He joined Old Trafford for a record £80 million from Ajax, and despite earning £150,000 per week there, he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype.

Coming into this season, he was the subject of high expectations. He has now had a full year to settle, and he ought to be adequately defending his asking price.

But it’s becoming evident after the first two games that nothing has actually changed.

Antony is too one dimensional

We don’t think we’ve ever seen a player as one-footed as Antony before, and it’s ruining all fluidity in our attacks.

The fact he has to cut onto his left every time is making us too predictable. He’s been useless thus far against Wolves and Tottenham.

There are some players that can get away with being one-footed. Arjen Robben is one that comes to mind, but he was so good he could easily get away with it – sadly, Antony doesn’t even have that ability.
