Los Angels Angels fans accept $600m free agency bound Shohei Ohtani’s imminent exit after Tampa Bay drubbing

The Los Angeles Angels are dangerously close to imploding at the worst possible time. Even though Shohei Ohtani has been in great form recently, it has not been enough to help the Halos return to the upper echelons of the American League.

The Los Angeles Angels lost 18-4, bringing their record in their last 10 games to 4-for-8. After allowing six runs in the first five innings, the club was never in the game and finished with just four runs of their own.Ohtani has been a ray of hope for a struggling offense this year.

Ohtani has a batting line of.306/.407/.664 with 43 home runs and 89 RBIs so far this season. He has a 1.071 OPS and 43 home runs, both Major League Baseball records.

The Japanese phenom is also the best defender in the league, placing 11th in strikeouts while leading in batting average against.

What direction Ohtani takes in the offseason is intriguing. There will be a lot of interest from other teams if he decides to leave the Angels. Potential new teams include the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers.
