Emotional Father-Son Moment Brings Lifelong LA Angels Fan to Watch Baseball Wonder Shohei Ohtani for the Last Time

Current Top Video in the United States

Ohtani’s two-way prowess has been racking up the hits and creating unforgettable moments for fans at ballparks this season. A son in Los Angeles wаnted to do something special for his dad in honor of what is likely his final season with the Angels, so he had tickets to a game named for him.

On Instagram, user @chifftie recently shared a video of his efforts to treat his father like royalty on a trip to Disneyland. The father was a lifelong Angels supporter who attended games in person until relatively recently. His dad, so the story goes, used to take in Angels games at the stadium when he was alive. Since his deаth, though, he had no one to share the thrill of victory with. It was his assumption, at least.

A highlight film of the son’s efforts to make his father’s wedding day special was reposted on Instagram by user @Brwalkoff. To show his support for his dad at the game, the son got tickets for the whole family. The time has come after much preparation and saving.

With eager eyes, the dad entered the suite, sporting a Trout jersey and ready to go. The son accurately describes his father’s reaction: “like a kid in a candy store.”

Getting to witness the game from a box suite as a VIP was like a dream come true for me, a lifelong Angels fan. Even more so because ace pitcher and batter Shohei Ohtani may be leaving to sign a $500 million contract with another team. It’s hard to overstate the magnitude of witnessing him maybe for the last time in his favorite team’s uniform.
