NBA star Ja Morant is in trouble for HIS DECISIONS – and not his friends’ – the Grizzlies guard’s father

The father of the Memphis Grizzlies star told younger youngsters at a recent basketball camp that his son’s 25-game suspension from the NBA is his own responsibility and not the fault of his buddies.

Ja Morant’s 45-year-old father, Tee, recently gave a speech at New Orleans’ Up Next Elite Camp, where he advised the children to “be mindful of every decision you make.”

A video of Tee Morant saying, “My son didn’t get in trouble ’cause of people around him,” has now gone viral. “His choices got him into trouble.”

According to Tee, “the smallest thing you can do can have the greatest impact on your life.” “I get emotional when discussing life and living, but all I’m doing is urging you to make good choices,” she said.

The two instances involving firearms that were caught on tape have derailed the bright career of 24-year-old Morant.

A college basketball player is also suing him, claiming that the younger Morant Һit him during a game in 2022.

A judge in Tennessee tentatively agreed with Morant’s attorneys last month that their client had a reasonable belief of imminent dаnger when he punched 17-year-old aspiring hoopster Joshua Holloway.

Whether or not Morant will be able to claim he was acting in self-defense is crucial to the success of Holloway’s lawsuit.

Morant’s attorneys have admitted that their client assaulted Holloway once after the latter accidentally struck their client in the chin with a thrown basketball. The player’s attorneys filed a motion on July 26 claiming their client was protected from prosecution under the state’s “stand your ground” law, which permits residents who feel threatened in their homes to use deadly force to protect themselves.

Judge Carol Chumney of the Circuit Court has stated that the next stage would be to hear arguments from the attorneys involved, including the attorneys for the Tennessee Attorney General, regarding the constitutionality of applying the law to the case.

Morant countersued, claiming that Holloway had slandered him and attacked him with a battery and a weapon.

Morant has not been charged with any crimes.
