Nuno Espírito Santo keeps Al-Ittihad connected to the ‘chain’ of victories

The Portuguese coach’s team is still 100% victorious in the Saudi championship.

Al-Ittihad Jeddah, team coached by Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo, won, this Saturday, the second victory in as many other rounds of the Saudi Arabian championship, by receiving and beating Al-Tai, by 2-0.

The first goal for the defending champions took place after 54 minutes, when Abderazzak Hamdallah put the ball in the back of the net, guarded by former Arouca player Victor Braga. The second belonged to Saleh Al-Amri, in the final stretch.

All in all, with this result, Al-Ittihad Jeddah now has six points, which allows them to equal Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq at the top of the table. As for Al-Tai, it remains with three points conquered, and is ranked tenth.

In the next round, Nuno Espírito Santo’s men will face Al-Riyadh, while the visitors will ‘become’ hosts for a duel with Al-Wehda, from Odion Ighalo and company.
