In my younger years, I actually thought about becoming a vet. I have a fondness for animals, but as you grow older, you come to realize that some animals can be intimidating. When you’re young, you don’t grasp how unpredictable they can be. Right now, I’m more inclined towards dogs.

Even with cats, I’m a bit cautious, like, ‘I can’t fully trust you!'” Fernandes explained his affinity for animals and his evolving perspective. He emphasized, “I’ve never seriously contemplated anything other than being a footballer. The idea came about because of my love for animals, that was the inspiration at that time.” When questioned about the possibility of pursuing veterinary work post-retirement, Fernandes clarified, “I don’t think so. I might be involved in aiding animals, but not necessarily as a vet.”
