Jordan Poole defuses buzz he’s not happy with Wizards after Warriors trade

During the 2023 NBA summer, the Washingtоn Wizards traded for Jordan Poole from the Golden State Warriors.

The Wizards will have Poole and Kyle Kuzma at the helm in 2023–24. There have been speculations that Poole is upset with his decision to join the Wizards, but a recent report from Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Bally Sports shows that these allegations may be unfounded.

Poole and some of his Wizards colleagues, including Kuzma, were recently in Los Angeles for an event. According to Robinson, Poole was seen in the Wizards’ locker room wearing a cap advertising the Washingtоn Nationals, and the player has declared himself “already locked in” with the franchise.

The District has me locked in,” Poole declared.

Through Robinson, Poole reportedly expressed enthusiasm about joining the Wizards.

To better know my teammates and contribute to the group.

Andre Iguodala recently made the point that Jordan Poole did not have a horrible 2022–23 season, despite the widespread criticism he received.

For the Warriors, Poole scored an average of 20.4% of their points. Poole still played a significant part for Golden State despite a dip in his shooting efficiency beginning in the 2021-22 season.

Poole is not just starting over in Washingtоn, but is being given every opportunity to become a true superstar for the Capitals. Since Draymond Green punched Poole before the 2022-23 season, the Warriors’ team camaraderie has reportedly been strained. After having to repeatedly discuss the incident during the season, Poole will be able to put it behind him and move on.

After being traded to the Wizards from the Warriors, Jordan Poole has the potential for a breakout season in which he earns All-Star nods. Though Washingtоn won’t contend at a high level, Poole is undeniably a player to watch.
