Ben Simmons’ ‘fantastic’ health update will excite Nets fans

The Brooklyn Nets went from a talented and star-studded squad to a talented squad without a recognizable player overnight. Ben Simmons is probably the closest player to fitting that bill.

Although he did not have his finest season in 2023, the former first overall selection and 2018 NBA Rookie of the Year still averaged over six points, six rebounds, and six assists per game.

Last year’s first and second leading scorers have left Brooklyn. In the offseason, the team’s forgotten guard prоspect showed his worth by competing with Tyler Herro.

The Nets are counting on Simmons to help shoulder some of the load.

Simmons is set and ready for a comeback season in 2023, says ESPN’s Mark Jones.

It’s understandable that some fans might have their doubts. Simmons has had a lot of time to go back to his Rookie of the Year form, but he hasn’t quite done it yet.

None of that counts if he won’t take shots,” another fan chimed in.

It’s not even close: the Nets made the better trade. He’ll be ready to return to All-Star form. Another fan commented, “The Sixers are a mess.”

I really do. Talented physically yet flawed mentally. It would be great to witness a resounding revival.

In the 2019–20 season, Simmons scored 16.4 points, a career high.

The Nets’ leading scorers in 2023 should be Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson, and Spencer Dinwiddie. Next year, the Nets’ Eastern Conference playoff hopes will soar if Simmons decides to join that group.
