Aaron Judge gives a scathing appraisal of the New York Yankees’ difficulties

Star player Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees says the squad is in a rut because they aren’t playing to their standards.

The Yankees have now lost four straight games and seven of their last nine overall. After a 5-0 loss to the Atlanta Braves, the Bronx Bombers’ record since July is 12-22.

They have not been even at this point in the season since 1995. The Yankees’ last sub-.500 season was 1992, when they went 76-86.

Judge spoke to the press following his team’s loss to the Braves. The five-time MLB All-Star summed up their dilemma by saying that they aren’t making the most of key opportunities to win games.

After the game, Judge declared, “We’re not showing up.” What it boils down to, in other words. We’ve been flaking out on important commitments. Even more so now that the last laps are being run and we still have a chance to win. But we’re not making the most of our opportunities.

The Yankees managed only one Һit and zero runs in their loss. Two critical miscues by the defense helped the Braves to a five-run victory.

Judge was Һitless in two at-bats and was intentionally walked twice. DJ LeMahieu, who plays second base, had the only Һit for his squad, a single to center field in the second inning. After the loss, manager Aaron Boone said, “We need to take some personal pride.”

Boone spoke on the team’s losing streak at a June press conference. ‘Right now, we stink,’ he replied. After a 7-3 loss against the Los Angeles Angels, the team admitted, “We acknowledge that. At the time of the loss, the team had lost nine of their previous eleven games.

In May of last year, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman blamed injuries for the team’s poor performance. Judge was sidelined because of hip and foot problems. Injured reserve was activated on 31 additional players, including Josh Donaldson, Carlos Rodon, Luis Severino, and Giancarlo Stanton.

The Yankees presently have ten players on the injured list, including star infielder Anthony Rizzo, who was placed there after being diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and will miss at least 10 games as a result. In July, Rizzo came out of his funk and revealed that he had sought help from pop superstar Taylor Swift.

Nestor Cotres, a 28-year-old left-handed pitcher, strained the rotator cuff in his throwing arm last Friday and was placed on the 15-day injured list. The organization was concerned that Cortes would miss the remainder of the season after he had already been out for two months with the same ailment.

The Yankees have not won more than one series since July 1. On July 21–23, the team played a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals, and they won all three games.

At 60 wins and 60 losses, the Yankees have the worst record in the American League East. They’ve fallen 14 games behind the division leaders.
