At the Cannes yacht show, quite a few orders went to yachts that offer something simple but elusive in this increasingly busy world: the quiet luxury of Quiet Luxury. Heesen Yachts is an example.

Centek Industries

Like Heesen and Cantiere delle Marche, Centek Industries is introducing its exhaust noise reduction systems.

Doesn’t sound very appealing? But that’s what many yacht owners look to.

Centek engineers collaborate with shipbuilders and designers on solutions that reduce noise by up to 40%. Their systems can be used on yachts as well as skiboats, so even when owners are playing in the water, they can still enjoy peace and quiet.

The Italian yacht company Wider goes above and beyond by providing absolute silence. The Genesi model, with diesel-electric propulsion combined with an Azimuthal housing, the Wider 150 powered by a diesel-electric motor can self-energize for eight hours with all of its systems in operation.
