Texas Rangers’ Injury Update: Navigating Players’ Road to Recovery

The Rangers are gearing up for a challenging competition, but there is uncertainty surrounding the availability of some key players. This raises concerns about their potential comeback and how the team will tackle these obstacles. Here’s the latest update on injuries.

INF Brad Miller has been out for 10 days due to hamstring tightness. Although he is eligible to return on August 2, the team has not provided any updates on when he will be back in action.

P Nathan Eovaldi is currently on the 15-day injured list because of a right forearm strain, retroactive to July 27. He threw a 40-pitch bullpen session on Saturday and is scheduled to have another bullpen session in Arlington next week.

3B Josh Jung has a left thumb fracture. He’s on a 10-day leave since August 7th and can resume playing on August 17th. He needs surgery on Wednesday and won’t be able to play for at least six weeks.

P Jacob deGrom is out for the rest of the 2023 season due to a torn UCL ligament in his right elbow. Surgery was done on June 12 to fix the problem.

LHP Brett Martin, a left-handed pitcher, underwent shoulder surgery on January 18th and is projected to be out for most of the 2023 season.

RHP Jake Odorizzi will not be playing in the 2023 season due to right arm fatigue. He had surgery on his shoulder and is currently on the 60-day injured list.
