In a heartwarming gesture, professional baseball players Reid Detmers and Mickey Moniak paid a visit to local elementary schools earlier this week as part of the Adopt-A-School program, presented by OC Waste & Recycling.
The students and staff at these schools were in for a delightful surprise as they got the chance to interact with the players through a lively Q&A session. Excitement filled the air as the Angels Rally Monkeys made an appearance, bringing smiles and laughter to all.
On top of that, the students received tickets to attend an upcoming Angels baseball game, making their day even more memorable. As a token of appreciation, OC Waste & Recycling generously provided giveaways to the students. Additionally, the Angels Baseball Foundation contributed a remarkable $2,000 grant to support the educational endeavors of these schools.
It was an inspiring event that showcased the power of community engagement and the uplifting impact of sports.
