Joey Votto Made A Fan’s Night

On Monday night, Joey Votto had a special visitor as the Cincinnati Reds played host to the Miami Marlins.

A 91-year-old woman, who is a huge fan of Votto’s, came to Great American Ballpark to see her favorite player in action.

In fact, it was her first Reds game.

True to form, Votto made the fan’s night, as he hit a home run off of Marlins starter Eury Perez to helped guide the Reds to a 5-2 win over the Fish.

On Twitter, Votto posted a video of the moment cameras on Bally Sports Ohio captured his superfan holding up a sign saying she was there to see him play.

Votto thanked her for coming out and supporting him.

This is certainly a fun way to have your first game as a fan play out.

This woman had never been to a Reds game, but chose to come to Great American Ballpark and see Votto in action for the first time.

Fortunately, Votto was able to provide an unforgettable moment, as he hit a home run to make this fan’s night.

The veteran slugger is the longest tenured member of the Reds roster and has been around since 2007.

He has won an MVP, a Gold Glove, and has earned six All-Star nods.

So naturally, Votto is a fan-favorite in Cincinnati, and has been for quite some time.

And his legend only grew on Monday as he homered for his superfan and gave her a moment that she’ll never forget from her first game.
