The Golden State Warriors have a promising young talent in Jonathan Kuminga.
The seventh overall pick in 2021 played in 67 games this past season, averaging 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 52.5% from the field and 37.0% from deep.
A video of Kuminga making a spectacular dunk is currently trending on all major social media platforms.
Warrior’s World retweeted a video that was first released by Packie Turner. ‘
The Warriors can’t make any progress in 2024 without a good year from Kuminga.
He had a strong regular season in 2022-23, but was benched for the playoffs.
The 20-year-old averaged 3.4 points per game in 6.1 minutes per match during the playoffs.
With a 44-38 record, good enough for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, the Warriors easily dispatched the Sacramento Kings in seven games in the first round.
However, they were eliminated from playoff contention by LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers (in six games).
Kuminga won an NBA championship in 2022 with the Warriors, beating the Boston Celtics in the finals. He saw action in 8.6 minutes per game, averaging 5.2 points and 1.7 rebounds.
The Warriors have reached the NBA Finals six times in the last nine years, winning the title four times.
Kuminga has done well in limited playing time for a player of his age, and he could see more action next season.
