Paul George’s confession about the Clippers’ disastrous effort to defend Stephen Curry has gone viral

Stephen Curry, star of the Golden State Warriors, has built a career out of humiliating the NBA’s greatest perimeter defenders. The extraordinary range and accuracy of Stephen Curry made it impossible for even the league’s best defenders, like Paul George, to contain him. The Los Angeles Clippers player recalls a certain game that stands out.

On March 15, the Clippers and Warriors played at Crypto.com Arena in a game that might have major postseason implications. Still, even with all of their preparation, George and his team were unprepared for the onslaught that came from Curry.

When asked about Stephen Curry’s 50-point performance against the Clippers defense on the Podcast P with Paul George hosted by Wave Sports + Entertainment, the Clippers player made a humorous admission. In a game against us this season, he scored 50 runs. George added, “I was going to lock him up for that game,” while trying to contain his laughs. Don’t worry, I’ll get over those screens and put some length on him. Whatever our strategy was, by the middle of the first quarter we were scratching it.

Nonetheless, Paul George and the Clippers came out on top, winning the game 134-126. Even if George’s high hopes for the Warriors’ superstar were realistic to begin with, he knows now not to lower them.
