Discover New Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole Scores $5.6M Mansion in Greenwich

New York Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole spent $5,550,000 on a property in Greenwich, Connecticut, in early February, just a few months after signing a contract with the team in December.

After the 2019 season ended, Cole was the most sought after free agent in Major League Baseball. In the middle of December, the Yankees were able to sign the ace to a nine-year, $324 million contract.

Cormac Byrne, an architect, designed his new home in 2016, and it’s just 30 minutes from Yankee Stadium. In September of 2019, the grand mansion hιt the market with a price tag of $5.45 million.

The Colonial-style, wood-frame, three-story mansion is on 2 acres and has 5 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and just under 9,000 square feet across its three floors.

The foyer features a grand staircase that leads to the formal living and dining area of the house. PTK Interiors’ stylish furnishings fill the airy living room with elegance.

A big central island serves as the focal point of a gourmet kitchen that also includes a cozy breakfast nook. A cozy family room with a fireplace and vaulted ceiling is conveniently located next to the kitchen.

There is a sitting space, fireplace, two closets, and two elegant marble baths in the master suite. On the top floor, you’ll find four more bedrooms, all with private bathrooms.

The bottom level may be accessed through a set of stairs and offers a second family area, as well as a playroom.

There is a saltwater heated pool and spa outside, as well as a large terrace with an outdoor fireplace and a covered porch with an outdoor kitchen and eating space.

Cole, who was born and raised in Newport Beach, California, keeps a five-bedroom house there.

Although Cole was outstanding for the 2019 Houston Astros, the team ultimately fell short in the World Series against the Washιngton Nationals. The three-time All-Star first appeared in the major leagues with the 2013 Pittsburgh Pirates.
