Jordi Alba is finally on his way to the United States, and Inter Miami fans are delighted to watch him play alongside former Barcelona colleagues Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets.
Alba, who is currently 34 years old, has agreed to a contract extension with the Herons that will keep him with the team until the 2024 MLS season. Alba’s signing was technically revealed exactly one week ago today by the Herons.
The 2014-15 Champions League winner uploaded a photo of himself on Instagram this past Saturday as he prepared to board a private plane from Barcelona while cuddling with his huge dog.
“Let’s go!” he wrote in a footnote to the piece. (This translates as “Come on, let’s go!”).
Romarey Ventura, who is also well-known on the internet in Spain, is married to Alba, and she gave birth to the couple’s newest kid, a son named Paolo, around ten days ago. Many people speculated at the time that this was the reason the player’s move was not made until today.
Alba joins on a free transfer after his contract with Barcelona was mutually cancelled in May.
