The Leagues Cup matchup between Inter Miami and Florida rival Orlando City is scheduled for Wednesday night.

On Wednesday night, the Leagues Cup’s next round will include a match between Florida rivals Orlando City and Inter Miami, including Lionel Messi.

Messi gave an excellent account of himself in both of Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup games, which the team won. Messi proved why there is so much anticipation for his arrival.

Messi made his first Miami appearance in the first game, against Cruz Azul, and scored the game-winning free kick in the 90th minute.

Then, he scored twice in the opening 22 minutes of Miami’s 4-0 victory over Atlanta on Tuesday.

For Miami, which had a dreadful Major League Soccer season up until Messi arrived, the cup tournament has brought some much-needed good news.

The squad is 12 points out of the playoffs and last in the Eastern Conference. In MLS, it has gone 11 games without a win.
