Liverpool ‘in talks with PSG over a stunning loan move for Kylian Mbappe’ – after forward turned down a world-record £259m bid from Al-Hilal

Liverpool are reportedly in talks with PSG over a stunning one-year loan move for wantaway forward Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman has 12 months remaining on his contract at Parc de Princes and has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he has no intention of extending his stay at the club.

Mbappe is holding out for a dream move to Real Madrid but the Spanish giants are unable to meet PSG’s steep asking price for the player, which is said to exceed £200m.

They will instead opt to snap him up on a free transfer next summer.

In the meantime, PSG are desperate to get something for their prized asset and are open to the idea of allowing him to go out on loan next season if it means they will receive a fee.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer Mbappe a one-year loan deal after engaging in talks with PSG

Mbappe recently turned down a world record bid of £259m from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal to join them for one season.

PSG are understood to have been infuriated by the 24-year-old’s decision but according to the Mirror, Liverpool have given The Parisians a lifeline with a one-year loan move including a bumper base fee.

Liverpool’s offer benefits all parties involved as it gets Mbappe out of Paris, brings in cash for PSG and allows the ex-Monaco star to complete a move to Madrid next year.

Mbappe entertained talks with Liverpool over a possible transfer before opting to join PSG in 2018 and has always been very complimentary of Jurgen Klopp’s side.

‘We talked a little bit, but not too much,’ he told the Telegraph last year. ‘We talked a little bit. I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool.

‘I don’t know why, you will have to ask her! It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.’

PSG are not willing to let Mbappe go for free next summer without recouping funds for the player first
