Kate Upton and Justin Verlander just put their L.A. house on the market for a cool $11,750,000. They hope it will sell quickly.
The supermodel, who is 29, and the Major League Baseball pitcher, who is 38, got married in 2017. They have since moved their family to Florida and put their four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Beverly Hills, California, on the market. Susan Smith of Hilton & Hyland has the property.
The couple, who have a 3-year-old girl together named Genevieve, bought the house in 2016 for $5,250,000, which is a little more than half of what it is being sold for now. The article says that while they lived there, they did a lot of remodeling and added modern touches and features.
The 5,521-square-foot home is tucked away in the woods on 1.5 acres. It has a formal dining room, a living room with a graystone fireplace, and a whitewashed family room with a beamed ceiling. The modern kitchen is on the first floor. It has a breakfast nook, a large marble island, modern tools, and a gray tile backsplash.
The house also has a walk-in wine room with temperature control, a movie room with a wet bar, and a games room. The main suite has a sitting area, a large bathroom with a steam shower and soaking tub, and two huge bedrooms with built-ins. A separate guest suite gives friends and family plenty of room to stay when they come to visit.
Outside, a brick pool sits on a sloping lawn, and there are plenty of places to sit and eat or hang out on the deck. One of the best things about the house is that it has a tennis court big enough for a tournament.
The property is big and has a long, winding road to get there. There is also a lot of greenery and tall trees to help keep things private. Dirt says that this has helped the home’s previous famous owners, like tennis player Pete Sampras and musician Kenny G. Upton and Verlander, who just signed a two-year, $50 million deal with the Houston Astros, have spent the last couple of years spending time with their daughter while the COVID-19 pandemic has been going on.
In April 2020, they said they were going to give Verlander’s weekly MLB paychecks to groups that help people with COVID.
