Lionel Messi consoles DJ Khaled’s crying son after stepping out as a mascot alongside him for Inter Miami’s game versus Atlanta on Tuesday night.

When Lionel Messi stepped out with DJ Khaled’s small kid as a mascot before kickoff on Tuesday, he reassured him.

Asahd, 7, began crying when he stood in front of Messi in the team lineup, perhaps due to the commotion that greeted the team as they stepped out onto the field at the DRV PNK Stadium.

Messi saw and checked on young Asahd, who gave Messi a thumbs up as he regained his composure.

DJ Khaled later uploaded a video of Messi holding his son’s hand as he walked him out onto the pitch before the game began, writing, ‘I’m very proud of my son!’ ‘God bless @leomessi!!!’

While Messi was meek before kickoff, he quickly revealed his merciless streak once the game began.

He scored twice in the first 22 minutes to help his new Inter Miami squad defeat Atlanta United 4-0.

His first goal was assisted by Sergio Busquets, as he raced through on goal, hitting the post with his original shot, and then scoring with the rebound.

When Atlanta failed to clear a pass into the penalty area, he scored his second goal. Then, on each side of halftime, new teammate Robert Taylor scored to seal the game.

Messi played 78 minutes in his team’s second game as he works to regain his health.

On Tuesday, DJ Khaled joined other celebrities such as P Diddy and Camilla Cabello at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium for Messi’s second game.
