NBA MVP Joel Embiid marries Brazilian Sports Illustrated model Anne de Paula in beautiful Hamptons ceremony

Star forward Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers has enjoyed a good few months.

The native of Cameroon, who won the NBA MVP award in May, wed Anne de Paula, a former Sports Illustrated model, two months later.

In Southampton, New York, Embiid and de Paula, who are 28 and 29 years old, respectively, were pronounced man and wife.

According to photos posted on Michael D. Ratner, a friend and film producer, De Paula and Embiid were wed at a church. Embiid, who was wearing a white tuxedo and a bow tie, was spotted grinning alongside his blushing wife, who was dressed in a progressive design gown.

During the event, Embiid received the sole ring of his professional career. May’s Eastern Conference semifinal between his Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics ended in a loss. Concerns about Philadelphia’s future are rife. James Harden might be leaving, and Embiid said that he was ‘disappointed’ to learn that The Beard wαnted to leave.

Embiid has expressed how much winning the NBA championship would meαn to him and even hinted that he might be ready to leave the Philadelphia 76ers at some time.

“I only want to take home a championship.” In an interview with Maverick Carter that took place on Thursday at the UNINTERRUPTED Sports Film Festival, Embiid remarked, “Whatever it takes.” I have no idea where it will be; whether it’s in Philadelphia or somewhere else, all I want is the chance to make that happen.

“You can think about the next one after I see how it feels to win that first one.” Even if it’s difficult, more than one, two, or three guys are needed. You need to surround yourself with wonderful people, and I work hard every day to reach that level so I can make it happen. So, I strive to achieve that every day.

When other players are suggested for MVP, Embiid said he ‘loves the challenge’ of having to outperform them.

I’m incredibly blessed, I understand the business, and it’s fun at the end of the day, Embiid added.
