IShowSpeed, a well-known Brazilian YouTuber and influencer, created headlines this past Friday during Lionel Messi’s MLS debut, Cristiano Ronaldo’s main rival in football. IShowSpeed is well-known for publicly declaring himself to be Cristiano Ronaldo’s biggest fan.
Many people were looking forward to the Leagues Cup match between Inter Miami and Cruz Azul from Mexico because the World Champion was making his debut with the squad coached by “Tata” Martino. For the match, the Brazilian streamer obtained a field pass and was seated in a luxury section of the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale.
Even though he didn’t have the best opportunity to record the information he had painstakingly prepared during the first half, Speed observed the opportune moment to begin recording when Messi was about to take the free kick that ultimately resulted in his first goal with his new side.
In the video, the streamer can be seen declaring that if Messi scored, he would become a Messi fan while wearing a Portuguese national team shirt with Cristiano’s name and number, which he subsequently posted to his social media accounts. Before Messi’s stunning strike led the stadium to erupt in jubilation, some of the stadium’s youthful fans appeared to warn him about his seeming contradiction. Then, as he fervently cheered, Speed removed his jersey to reveal an Inter Miami jersey with the number 10.
