On Friday, when the MLS team plays Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup, soccer legend Lionel Messi will make his Inter Miami debut. Although Messi wasn’t named in Miami’s starting lineup, he is anticipated to make an appearance in the game as a replacement at some point.
There was a standing-room-only audience at the much anticipated game at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which included some famous people. LeBron James, a star for the Los Angeles Lakers, attended to support a fellow GOAT.
Even before the game began, the two embraced one another. Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, attended Messi’s game as well.

Lionel Messi’s Miami debut: LeBron James, Kim Kardashian among stars in attendance
It certainly seemed weird when it actually happened after years of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami rᴜmors and interest, years of wondering if the world’s best soccer player might join MLS.
It didn’t feel authentic even after the first announcement, the altered jersey photographs, the lavish introduction, the people stopping him in the street in front of his new pitch, and a widely publicized excursion to a Publix supermarket.
Friday night at DRV PNK Stadium, Messi is anticipated to make his Inter Miami and Major League Soccer debuts. When he finally runs onto the field during Leagues Cup action versus Cruz Azul of the LIGA MX, everything will finally come true. The game will begin at 8 p.m. ET. a reality that was made possible by Inter Miami owners David Beckham, Jorge Mas, and Jose Mas.
Messi is not among the starters. Two hours before kickoff, Messi arrived at the stadium shortly after 6 p.m. He was not included in the starting lineup that was announced prior to the game, so it is likely that he will make his debut off the bench.
In the days building up to the game, Beckham made an allusion to that possibility by saying that Messi needed to make sure he was prepared after returning from vacation.
It’s just a matter of time before Messi makes his official debut while wearing a No. 10 Inter Miami jersey. In the first minute, supporters immediately began chanting Messi’s name.
In actuality, Messi stayed on the bench for almost 40 seconds before the first chant was directed at him.
During the game’s hectic opening 12 minutes, the second round of chanting began around the 9-minute mark.
Celebrities at Messi’s debut included Lebron, Brady, and Kim Kardashian As many prominent celebrities are anticipated to attend Messi’s debut Inter Miami game due to his widespread famҽ.
LeBron James, the all-time leading scorer in the NBA, and Serena Williams, a tennis legend, arrived just before the game.
Tom Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl winner, is allegedly planning to attend.
Tua Tagovailoa, the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins, and reality TV personality Kim Kardashian arrived early to the event. David Beckham made his Major League Soccer debut with the Los Angeles Galaxy 16 years prior to Messi’s debut with Inter Miami. Beckham made his World Series of Soccer debut in the 78th minute of a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in 2007.
Everybody is anticipating the moment Messi makes his entrance.
