Today, July 21st, marks the 27th birthday of one of the most talented basketball players in the world, Ben Simmons. As a versatile  point guard  for the Philadelphia 76ers, Simmons has made a name for himself with his incredible abilities on the court, earning him recognition as one of the league’s brightest stars.

Born in Melbourne, Australia in 1996, Simmons began playing basketball at a young age. His  natural talent  was evident early on, and he quickly rose through the ranks of youth basketball in Australia. Eventually, his skills caught the attention of  American scouts , and in 2013 he made the decision to move to the  United States  to pursue a career in basketball.

After a successful  high school career , Simmons attended  Louisiana State University  where he played one season of college basketball before being selected first overall in the 2016  NBA draft  by the Philadelphia 76ers. Since then, he has become a cornerstone of the 76ers’ roster, helping lead the team to multiple playoff appearances and earning numerous accolades along the way.
